Anyone riding the Waiparous area Saturday ??

Post by dirtyboy »

Anyone riding the Ghost Airstrip, North Ghost, or Fallen Timber areas on Saturday? I'd like to get out there and map a nice loop for the cause at one of these northern Ghost areas.

Actually I don't know the north area well at all. I was looking for a tour guide so I could map the loop.

I did 1 XC at Fallen Timber last year, so I could probably find my way around that (give or take). I've heard that there may be still snow in the Northern part of the Ghost area. Not sure what to do.

I know it pretty well, but I'm thinking Fallen timber will still have "winter snow" in it, at least all the areas I know. Sunday looks like it might be warmer. I would like to help in this mapping project, but we might need dryer conditions to cover enough area to make it worth while

Hey guys,

Thanks for the advise. I had some telephone advise that there would be snow also. I believe that I'll try to go from the South Ghost staging area tomorrow.

I am also looking for some expertise for next weekend, May 7-8. So if you have a favourite trail in the central or northern part of Waiparous that you would like mapped and don't mind riding slowly and stopping to mark the trail attributes, please let me know. I'd appreciate the help in these areas.

I'm in for sunday morning, out of BarC, I've learned enough single track over the last couple of month's [ thank's,Jim,Dave, and the Girls ] to put a day's riding together. It may be the same stuff you know, But I love riding so I'm in.

PS: Anybody been to the ISDE fund raiser, is it worth a go.
