You can also go straight up the # 40 Forestry Trunk Road and you will cross the blue bridge mentioned above. Cochrane to YaHa via Trunk road riding with a careful driver was 1hr 30m to YaHa.

I still go through Sundre, but the Trunk road is a good option.

I was looking at the Rocky motorcycle club and noticed they have a hare scramble coming up on the sixteenth at "osborne". Has anyone rode the this track before?

I'm confused by the map on their website. It doesn't look far enough down hwy 752 to be on crown land - there's farms all along that road.

Generally speaking, it's the same general area as "Gloomy Creek" - but Gloomy creek is another 20-25 mins down the road. Presuming it is the beginning portion of the crown land, I don't know of any singletrack there. Just lots of cutlines and quad trails. Maybe they built some?

Afaik it's the Osbornes, as in private property, not an area called "Osbourne".

Is Maclean still closed to riding as of Sep 7th?

Wanted to head out last weekend, hopefully this weekend is good.

Still closed. Short of some pretty extreme weather changes it will be closed for a while yet I'd imagine.

Rode the A loop and C loop of the gloomy creek hare scramble. Lots of fun, definitely worth the ride considering it's only 20 mins or so further than yaha tinda.

Do they still have the flagging up on the courses there?

Yep, sure do. Trail head is a little hard to find if you haven't rode it before though. The Rocky motorcycle club directions are bang on though.
