Northern section of Police and Fire Games Trail closed

A large beef cow met her demise in the shadows just beside the Police and Fire Games trail sometime last week. I was bow hunting in the area and followed the ravens' squawks into the darkness...

I was literally three feet from the buried carcass before I saw it, cached in a mound of moss by a skillful predator. Thank God the bear hadn't returned to it's kill the same day that I was there. The air was pungent with the scent of rotting carcass, just the way a grizzly likes it's meat. I'm guessing the bear has returned by now. The cow's calf was still hanging around not wanting to leave it's mom.

The area is closed for now, for everyone's safety.

GPS coordinates of the kill site; N50 52.565' W114 40.812'

I saw a good size black bear to the east of there Saturday.
It was crossing the main road to the east and heading east up the hill
