Mclean creek report 14 may 2016

Post by Smokey510 »

Leaving mclean creek now. Once we got into the trees there was a lot of snow, and it got deep quick with elevation gain. Its very wet and mushy. Even at lower elevations the trails were unfollowable, due to the snow covering them. Parked at the paved loop. Tried both directions from parking.

Today was a bust. Might be best to wait for some warm weather to melt some snow before heading out. The few other people out here were also calling it quits.

It is fine if you stay lower,it was quite muddy lower elevations today but definitely snow in the trees which should be gone after tomorrow.

Where did you park? Cuz on police and fire games there was too much snow to see the trail, and I think thats about as low as it gets.
