Fallen timber or Maclean Creek? New riders

Post by Over40 »

Have a group of 5 riders that are going to ride weekend if Sept 18th. Range of experience but everyone is a capable rider. Wondering where would be best to go for challenging riding that isn't going to be too over the top. Last year 3 of our group rode the Westridge trail at Maclean (I think it was called) and I wouldn't want the trail to be any more challenging than that ride, Any suggestions?

Anyone got any suggestions? Where would be the best of the two areas to get some good intermediate riding without getting ourselves in over our heads?

Mclean is your best bet for well signed and mapped trails. Stick to the NE side for easy stuff, go the the SW corner for the harder stuff.

Mclean is a great spot to ride. The 'signage' is pretty good and if you become a member you get a great map that references the trail numbers as well as trail names you will see on those signs. Even I can't get lost in there... well maybe.
