Ghost Resevoir

Given that Maclean is closed (to most) until May, I was thinking about tooling around on the Ghost reservoir just to fill the void for a while. I took a drive past there yesterday and saw that the entire surface is frozen over (without any snow), and that there were two circuits already in use near the parking lot and marina. I'm a little gun shy to race out there without asking, does anyone know where to find ice conditions, or is this a use at your own risk location? I suppose I could march out and drill a hole in the ice to determine thickness, but thought maybe there was something published to refer to. Thoughts?
Also, are there any forum users that ride that area? If so, let me know if you would like to get together.
