That was a great weekend, nice pics Tom. I learned a couple things…….always fill up your bike and camelback, even if you are just going on a "short" ride!

Good story Tom. When you hit the Atlas road off the spine all you had to do was go down the 1 km turn left on to an old cut line and you would have caught a trail which takes you back to the Race horse staging area. another option is go down the atlas road till marker 19, go past it 100 meters and take pipeline east right back to staging area. There is a tall flare stack on the right hand side of the Atlas road that you can use as a marker. the trail is almost straight east of the flare stack. Great area to ride. Lots of trail once you figure out where everything is.
