Access to Porkies

Post by madhatter »

Rode Porkies the other day.
Conditions are very interesting.
A creek that is a little river, water running down a lot of trails, bogs where you never thought you see them.
Anyone wanting to access the Beaver Creek camp area via 22 and 520 and Skyline Road better think again.
Road is washed out badly a few miles north of Beaver Creek camp(5ft deep washout)
Creek can be crossed just upstream of there by bikes but no vehicles are getting thru.
Just a heads up....

Anyone have any updated info? I'm headed to Montana for some riding and we are planning on stopping at South porkies (head smashed in route) on the way back for a few days.

Coming in from Head Smashed In is fine....
Coming from other side is the problem.
I believe a few of us are going to hit Porkies on Sunday.
