Anywhere to ride w/o studs yet?

I'm feeling a little stir crazy from dirt bike deprivation. Just curious if there's somewhere reasonably close by where a fellow could riding yet...

Seems like with the weather we've had the last few days the snow could be melted in some places. My understanding is that the Wildrose MX park isn't open just yet. Perhaps somewhere further south like Lethbridge?

I'm willing to drive a couple hours one-way, but I'd want to be back the same day. Any ideas?

That seems a bit too far for what I had in mind. I was hoping for somewhere closer.

Maybe if the weather keeps up, I can keep hoping Wildrose will open next weekend...

Was in Maclean this past weekend (with my TFA) and they are still quite a few weeks away.

I know Blackfoot was clearing snow (via Twitter) so Im thinking they wont be that far away.

Try and remember this time of year ( when the snow is melting and the frost is leaving),is when you do the most amount of trail damage. A particular trail in Waiparous was pretty much destroyed one spring from over anxious riders. Also heard it's still icey at Kook

I didn't expect any trails to be ready. I was thinking more along the lines of a motocross track. I'm hoping open spaces will melt faster.

I called the Lethbirdge Motocycle Club. No answer, but the voicemail message says "open, weather permitting" -not exactly a conclusive answer.

I texted my buddy and this is his reply "Good for this time of year, will have muddy sections and washouts... Ensure to take a lap before hitting the triple"

He claims it's open

Apparently you need a key and you can rent one from the gas station in Raymond

 Talked to a couple guys who were out at Raymond Saturday. There are a few mudholes but in general track is very good. By next weekend weather depending it will be fantastic. To get gate key go to Fast Gas in Raymond. $20 per person for the day. I was working in Drumheller last week and its very wintery there.

I have an old set of studs you can have for free if you're that hard up for a rip.
Not great, but they will get you by a few more rides...
PM me.

Quad trails in the south ghost are actually quite fun and fast right now. You will still need studs.
