WTB 2017 Husqvarna Fork and Shock Springs: TE300 and FE501

Post by tyak742 »

Hi

I am looking at swapping out the springs on my bikes to match my weight. I am 200 lbs and 235 lbs geared up. The 300 sees single track with stock tank, the 501 sees everything with a 15 l tank and the possibility of more gear.

I am looking at approximately 2 spring rates higher than stock all around, but my experience suggests I need a bit more on the rear than the front in terms of spring rate increases.

If you have a spring or springs that fit this envelope let me know.

Thanks,

Todd

Hi

My target is for 1 set of fork springs and 2 shock springs, but I am entertaining alternate options.

Forks, WP48mm 44mm x 470mm
Rate, current target: 5 N/mm
Alternates: 4.4 N/mm and 4.8 N/mm

Shock, Straight Rate – 62mm I.D. x 260mm length
Rate, current targets: 5.2 kg/mm & about 5.6 kg/mm

Thanks

Hi again

I should have noted that 2017-2019 KTM fork springs on the 250/300 are the same as the TE300 and the fork springs on the FE501 are the same as the KTM 2017-2019 500 EXC are the same.

Thanks

I have 5.0N/mm fork springs and a 5.2Kg/mm shock spring from a 2016 KTM 350 XCF - do those fit your bike? Fork springs are for 4cs forks and the shock is from the new frame style.

Interesting

I am pretty sure the fork springs are the size I am looking for. The shock spring isn't as clear at the moment: are you able to measure its length and internal diameter?

What brand are the springs and how much are you looking to get for them?

Thanks,

Todd
