Well folks, it's almost here. Race course is coming together well, and I've heard from some different people expressing interest in racing. Should be a good turnout, and hopefully some good weather too. Campground is available for those that want to use it, lower loop is reserved for the race, and will be on a first come first serve basis. Upper loop will be available to reserve in if you want as well.

I'd like to thank all the people who have helped with this event so far, and also ask for a few volunteers for the race weekend as well. We have sign in, scanning and sweepers needed, so post up if you'd like to help. I already have some offers for these roles, but let me know if you're available, we can always use more help.

Poster will be up on the AMSA website soon, check it out. Directions are there if you need them, or post or PM with any questions.

Should be lots of prizes, trophies for top finishers in each class and a t shirt to get with your entry. We might even give you one if you DNF

Hope to see as many members out there as possible, if you want to try racing, why not do it now? Where else can you go to get passed by people twice your age, half your age, and maybe a couple of fast ladies too?

That's the nicest gear I have ever seen Thirtyseven wear. This will definitely be a premier event...
I'm planning on coming out to camp Wed or Thurs help with remining set up and sweep the race on Sunday.

I was going to do the same thing, but then I saw the race poster. Now I'm not sure I want to be associated with this group.

Sounds good Aaron. A couple of us are going to be there from Wednesday on.

Malcolm and I were talking about sweeping, but I have to confirm I can make it. Might be on dog sitting duty for a few weeks.

Great shot!!! The course has an alround mixture of great stuff. Some fast some slow some easy some technical. Like all good races in the foothills of the rockies, unless you are Jason Schrage you will do better if you have something going on between the ears....
If you are coming to fallen timber for the first time, it is the type of place where nothing is really easy. Every thing is up or down, but we have gone out of our way to remove 100s of logs, and the standard has been to form new singletrack that is fun but nnot boring and is consistant with the RMDRAs mandate to have sustainable singletrack that respects the environment and other stakeholders.
Cheers and have fun and DONT CLIP A STUMP! ( some.sections have unexpected grass growth due to the wet weather and delay of race)

The staff here at Blackfoot Direct are super pumped to be participating this weekend!! Since all of us are motocross guys this will be the first race for all of us and even the first off-road (Kook does not count I've been told) ride so you know there will be stories and carnage.

We have a shop bet on who will have the best time between Carlos (mechanic) on his TE250, Kevin front desk parts guy (#291 Pro MX1 CMRC motocross racer) on the shop FE250 and myself on a TE250.

I am also bring out a few parts to display under the Husaberg/BlackfootDirect tent. If there is anything you guys would like to see and have not been to the shop yet let me know we will do our best to bring out.

As we have been able to meet and get to know many of you RMDRA members over the past year since we have had the Husaberg line and started focusing on the off-road community we look forward to spending the weekend riding with you all!!! We cannot stop talking about it here at the shop and are very exciting to break our off-road cherries in a race format.

Yes we know, bring our handguards and a hydration pack................after that let's let the cards fall as they may.

Looking forward to getting to know the "sweepers" a little more on Sunday!

Dean-You guys should close the shop early and come out Saturday. I'm sure we'd find a few people to take y'all out for an afternoon ride to make sure your barkbusters are installed correctly (you guys did install bark busters not those silly little moto roost guards, right? :D ).

Bummed I'm missing this one (annual summer trip back east was booked long before the floods changed the schedule). Good luck to everybody racing this weekend

HAHA!!! Too funny we have been busting Carlos chops as that is exactly what he has on his bike. I told I am not processing a WCB claim for broken fingers!!!!

Just snapped this picture Carlos getting fitted for a hydration pack. Wondering what this hose is for? Oh man this is going to be a classic.
