Monday Aug 5 2013
We are doing a work day for the race course on Monday. We hope to clear some trail and build a bridge.
Meet at the Fallen Timber day use area at 10AM. (Might change to a campsite depending)
If you can bring a chain saw, labour to throw logs out of the way, 2 stroke motorcycle to refill the chain saws that would be great.
Please post if you plan to attend.

The master bridge builder!
Hopefully we can get a few more to help out also so that we can finish. It would be a shame if we had to cancel it.

Tentative.
I can throw my chainsaw in the trailer, but I dont have a great way of carrying it, aside from a backpack.

I have no carrier either, but can use a back pack. Also, I do have a carrier I can lend out that fits a 2010 and older KTM.

I will bring my other carrier that should work for almost any saw on 2011 and older KTM models.

I just found out I'll be free on Monday, and would like to help. Unfortunately, I dont' have any tools here (I'm here on an extended business trip from Oklahoma, so the bike was the only thing I brought), but am certainly willing to work on whatever you need -
I'm not familiar with the area at all, can you give me some directions to the day use area? (I live in south Calgary and will need to drive up Monday morning.)
Thanks, Art (anotheroldtrailrider)

Re: Monday Aug 5 2013
Wow thanks for the great response guys!
I think that a backpack will be good. Most of the trail clearing will be on foot and the bridge will be at one location so please bring your saw. And if you don't have a saw, there will be lots of cut stuff to throw out of the way.
If there is one or two with a carrier, I have one smaller job that would be good with a carrier.
One of the things that will be important is to have some backpack space to carry some stuff. We will have to bring supplies and tools (WRocks bringing them) to the bridge location.
See you guys Monday at the Fallen Timber day use area.
PS the location on google maps is correct. Does that cover the directions?

I'd like to come out and help with this but I just had the pins pulled out of my thumb yesterday and only have the strenght of a 2 year old in that hand, so riding is out, oh and I don't have a bike to ride either!
Anyway, I should be out that way camping this weekend, I can bring along a chainsaw and polaski to make availble if needed. The saw will fit in most large backpacks and is pretty light.

The voices are back. Awesome!

I believe so - is that located by the campground we used on the last three day weekend?
Thanks, Art - see you there.

Yes, Fallen Timber Campground but go past both the upper and lower loops to what they call the day use area. It's just a gravel circle where we can park.
Thanks Brass.
