Re: The More Dirtier Moose
A huge heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers that make this happen. It is a boatload of work, countless tanks of fuel in chainsaws, and too many lost brownie points with the family. There is always such a relief at the end of it all once you get all the riders back and accounted for, awards done, and the trailer unpacked. I don’t even want to look at my bike for the next week, and I hope I don’t see a chainsaw before Xmas..
The course does still need a bunch of deflagging. Here is your excuse to get out there and ride it one more time in slow-mo and recount all the adventures. If you do go out on it, please do your part and tear down some ribbons.

Thanks to all the volunteers that came out and worked the race or helped to organise it.
I think I took out a few with my handlebars/shoulders/head.Dobi wrote: If you do go out on it, please do your part and tear down some ribbons.
The voices are back. Awesome!
Re: The More Dirtier Moose
While we are saying thanks-Don't forget Jack Sawatzky. Howard and Jack were responsbile for a good portion of the fun new single track (and a bit of the cut block nastiness) on the east side. On this note, I'd like to petition for Jack to be docked 2 finish spots in the race for leaving litter on the course. Pick up your chainsaw Jack.

I wouldn't mind riding the course again. Maybe on Wednesday. Anyone interested in joining me? Maybe reliving some memories or finding out what the race was like if you didn't attend?Dobi wrote: The course does still need a bunch of deflagging. If you're not too proud to be seen in an '85 Toyota pickup, I can haul another bike in my truck.

Re: The More Dirtier Moose
On the de-flagging topic.
1. The quad and truck trails are the most important to de-flag.
2. Leaving the ribbon on the single track really helps when trying to find the trail after the next time we get blowdown.
Any corrections or further points?

X2 especially the cut blocks on the second loop. Do not deflag those. I could barely find the trail even with the flags(and I helped flag that!)dirtyboy wrote:On the de-flagging topic.
