What's the deal with numbers an backgrounds? Does it really matter?

If I did come all that way I'm not changing my plates

yeah, it matters because it sucks when you are behind someone that is not plated, not in your class and they do not move. It also sucks when you are in front of someone that is in your class and they are not plated and you just let them by without making them earn the pass.
It also sucks when you see someone ahead in the distance but they are not plated. If they are in your class, it can motivate you to catch and pass. If they are not in your class, you may be ok at the comfortable pace you are doing as no need to take chances to pass someone not in your class especially if near the end of the race.
my pet peeve is those with no colored plates/numbers. :soapbox:

just buy a cheap background color and cheap #'s. Put it on for race and peel off after race.
What class would you be racing?

I really enjoyed the More Dirtier Moose today. Brilliant, challenging single track on a beautiful day. Can't ask for more!

I still need to get some more speed so I can finish the thing but its coming, looking forward to next year! I was really pleased with my ride today; just need to twist it a shade more!

Thanks guys for putting on another epic ride! :nworthy:

Cheers,
Aaron

Great Race everyone

Thanks to everyone involved for all the work and effort that started months ago to make this race such a success :applause:

Plus (even though I didn't get one) I think the Trophies where very well done. And I particuarly like the shirts this year.

X2

Felt guilty riding the race while others where working like dogs, but it was very fun. I had a blast. Video died out 3/4 of the way through the 1st loop but I think there is some good footage in that section. :D

Thanks to all the volunteers they did a fantastic job on this race. The course was definitely tough and technical but could not have asked for a better day.

Great course, good job to all who contributed, Lots of nice log crossings that were all very do-able, a very well laid out course with a bit of everything!
