Sign in starts at 9am Sat and 8am Sunday. We could use sign-in help both days as well as help with scanning kids on Saturday and the adults on Sunday

Nah, I beat Zeal by a second on Sunday at Apex, so thats all that matters. Thats the only reason I'm racing and I finally got it out of my system. :) I was hoping to beat Dobi too, but that slippery SOB crushed me on one of the four tests on Saturday and beat me that day. Sunday was not even close though.

What time should I show up? Race starts at 11:30, correct?

Not to derail this thread, but I'm going to have to stand up for my wife here. No I haven't been riding much, but in my (her) defence, she is 7 months pregnant with my twin sons, and I'm still working on renovating the baby room. Considering we have no family to turn to in the city, when I load up my gear and head out of cell coverage for several hours, it puts her in a pretty vulnerable position. Not to mention that with my recent 'near-miss' back injury, the thought of 'Dad' being hurt again with two infants around the corner is not popular.

That being said, I take any opportunity I get to go for a ride. If that can happen to be on Sunday afternoon, I'll gladly sweep the race again this year. From my experience last year, I recommend you carry a few things with you as a sweeper:
- camp fuel bottle full of pre-mixed fuel, or at the least a decent siphon hose
- various zip ties, wire, tools, etc. to fix broken bikes
- flagging tape to repair any damaged course markers
- a larger backpack than you would normally wear, so you can pick up and carry lost bike parts, goggles, etc.
- a first aid kit
- a 2-way radio, set to the race crew channel

Oh, and remember to close your backpack after each stop so that you don't lose your camera

It wasn't meant as a jab. I was kidding. I get in trouble from my girly too. I retract the posting.

very good information here for the sweepers Ryan. thanks.

I understand where you are coming from with the family life. The year my daughter was born I barely got any riding in and it was not because my wife wouldn't let me go, it was that I felt insecure in leaving them alone and venturing off into the wilderness to do dangerous things on a dirt bike.

Congrats on the twins! I am sure the vasectomy will be booked for shortly after the arrival of the new ones......
