I am trying to wait on hanging ribbons until as close to race day as possible, it will be great to keep some of the trails as fresh as possible, so i think realistically the weekend before the race will be ribboning weekend. so Sept 8 & 9. The Second Gear Club is having a HS race at Fisher the same weekend so we will have to work around them. Maybe there is a good way to help them get the ribboning done first and then go out and start on the XC loops. we need as many volunteers to come out as possible. that's what makes these races happen and there is never enough guys to help. I will coordinate food and beverages.
So Fisher staging area sept 7-9 and then most of the week day evenings to follow right before the race. should be a fun weekend, i will be camped out there from friday to sunday night. hope to see you out there.
Are we still meeting and staging out of Fisher even though there is a CMA race going on? I am still not certain if I am going to pull the trailer out or not.
If you guys start ribboning, please start the ribboning further up the loop and out of site from major trails so that no real pre riding will happen. the final loop ribboning that confirms the start and finish will be done race morning by me.
I just want to confirm that the main ribboning effort will go down on saturday and sunday. we will be meeting at the Fisher staging area at 10 am. if the staging area is full from CMA race guys we can always meet off to the side. i will be bringing my grill, burgers and bevys. see you out there!
