DirtyMoose '16 (XII)
Boys and girls, put it on your calendar!!!!
I promise you a DirtyMoose of a different flavour, some singletrack that hasn't been seen in a long time, groomed for your riding pleasure....
Looking ahead though, this course has longer stretches away from civilization (last year you were never more than 3km from an easy out though you didn't realize it) this year that will expand to about 15km away from an easy out at one point. I would like to place two groups of volunteers at each end of a 30 km solid singlet rack. Both can be accessed by road (small hike or ride on the south end). Your job will be simple... watch the race in a unique position, and provide a "way out". For example at the south end if someone is completely "gassed" by the time they get to you, you can have them stay there with you rather than commit to a long stretch of singletrack that will cause us logistical problems. Ie if the sweepers have to help a rider get to YOU, the rider will not be going any farther than the back of your truck!!!!
If you and your friends can commit to this please let us know. Some racing experience is valuable but not required, and I would require you to come out ahead of time (anytime this summer) to see the exact position you will go to.
thanks all.

I would love to volunteer again! With the exception of Sunday (hopefully this year I can race).

After speaking to the boss, Cycle Works Foothills would be happy to supply their truck, trailer and me
to look after one end of the 30 km solid singlet rack. What ever the heck that is. Sounds a little scary.
Free Suckers for every one that makes it to the end of the 30 km SOLID SINGLET RACK.
I will be able to haul eight bikes comfortably, three on the truck, five in the trailer, or more if we stack them.
We can set up a refill station for Camel backs if so desired.
What ever is needed let me know.
PS: when is the race.

I was able to make it back to Calgary in May to ride a bit and got to sample most of this years Dirty Moose loop. It should be an extremely fun race for everyone. Here's a video of a bunch of the loop (until I broke Hendrix13's bike).

great video Scott. It brought back some good memories and a few big chuckles. I think we may have to rename that downhill to "lovers lane"

Scott that is a killer loop. I need to do more rides like that! Working on the race weekend though.
