2015 Dirty Moose XI

Post by AJRJ »

Well folks, it's almost here, TFA is in hand, and final prep is underway. I can't say enough good things about all the people and loyal club sponsors who have stepped up, many of the same faces year after year. I had the pleasure of visiting a few sponsors today, dropping off posters. With Jonny5 doing the lions share of the behind the scenes work for the club sponsorships, it was nice for me to see these people again. I have to say, it looks like it's going to be a great year for the race. Please make sure to note them all, and be sure to thank them if you're in one of their many businesses;

Platinum Level

Rocky Mountain Honda Powerhouse
Cycle Works Motorsports
Blackfoot Direct

Gold/Siilver/Bronze Level

Mountain Pearl Landscaping
MRSI
German Car Specialists
GW Cycle World
Spinalguy Chropractic
Racing unLimited
Edmonton Trail Autobody
Riders Edge Suspension /CGRT
HCM Contractors Inc.
Sosa Original

It's with the support of all thes people, and the cooperation with ESRD and Parks Alberta these events are possible, THANKS! I'd also like to thank the folks at the Second Gear Club for their help and cross promotion. I saw many of the same folks out there in the last couple weeks for what have been some epic events hosted by SGC and arranged by Monty of MRSI. Great job all.

We had a sponsor step up from Red Deer, one who has supported off road in Alberta for many years; YB Quality Meats. We're thrilled to have them on board and will offer smokies on a bun Saturday and hot dogs on Sunday to racers and spectators.

If you haven't noticed, Club Ride will be held by Captained by me on Wednesday before the race. Find the post under club rides, and come check the ride out. Who knows where we might ride :wall:

One more shout out to the people that have stepped up to volunteer for sweeping, sign in, scanning etc. If you haven't said anything yet, but you suddenly find yourself available, just come to the sign in area and find me.

I hope to see some new faces out there, it's exciting times ahead in Fallen Timber!

He won't ask for it, but everyone should step up and thank Geoff (AJRJ) for volunteering to organize the race. Not only is there a lot to do, there is a lot of stress trying to get low life dirt bikers to do things the right way at the right time Also, if you see the families (particularly the spouse's) of some of the main volunteer's make sure to thank them as well. They are usually taking on many tasks in the background and make many sacrifices.

I may have made a mention of the lack of food at the RMDRA race during my podium speech in Vega while covered in ketchup from my two helpings of dogs...

Thanks for stepping up the game.

And a huge thanks to Geoff and his team of minions that pull this thing together. This club continues to put on tremendous races that have great trail and are well run.

So sorry that I can't be there this year, but thankfully Scott350 has stepped up to take over as sweeper extrordinaire :nworthy:

Do we need any competition membership? Or does the club membership work fine for the club classes?

You will need either a CMRC race license or purchase a CMRC day license.
