G-Form Crash Pads

Does anyone here have experience with these:

I'm considering ordering a pair, I normally hate the restrictive feeling of elbow pads, but these might be the trick. They are supposed to be soft to wear, but harden during an impact to provide real protection. The price is certainly reasonable and they have a money back guarantee, so I will probably order some anyway. Just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with them.

Thanks.

Nice find. i goggled for reviews but could not find what appears to be any unbiased ('paid/sponsored') reviews.
The knee pads could be the perfect complement to CTI2 braces that sorely lack in knee cap protection even with the provided knee pad cups. Everyone i know wishes that CTI would actually cover the entire knee cap in all ranges of motion. i think what you found Ryan would be perfect for the knees and CTI braces

no experience, but they look constrictive, bunchy, hot, and cheap to me, they'll prolly migrate too which would bother me. I really don't think they would work well with cti's as they would interfere with where/how the brace goes around the leg. Just my opinion which probably isn't worth anything.

I found this info:
I went to my garage to begin testing their protection. With all the padding on I closed my eyes and dropped to my knees, I was expecting a run to the hospital to repair my shatter patella. As my knees hit the ground I was surprised, a small amount of pain but it passed seconds later. I then hit my shin with a 20 mm combination wrench, box end. Again slight pain but nothing serious. I then put it through a pedal test, with 165 mm cranks I put my non dominate foot on the ground and my dominate foot on the pedal. I slammed the pedal into my shin with everything that I had. Slight pain but it passed in less than a minute. They are great protection for the weight so far.
Bottom line:
The pads are fantastic protection for the weight, but they are still light weight pads. They will not provide the same protection as a hard shell or other soft shell pad. They prevent catastrophic injury on the trails and are about as hot as some light weight Licha. If you hate the heat of your traditional pads and can handle pain for a minute or two after a bad fall then these pads are great.

Sounds like they will do the trick for my elbows. Gotta be better than wearing nothing, which is what I usually do. They seem slim and light enough that I could use them for other activities too, under a jacket in the winter, etc.

And one final word:
Also they look like ninja turtle pads, for people my age that is pretty awesome

i think you are right steve-o as i went back and looked at more photos and the hinges on the CTI will be impeded. Darn :crybaby: i guess i will have to look for something else.
But as far as elbow pads go, they are da bomb. Complete freedom of movement vs what we wear. light and not hot.

Troy lee design has some elbow pads that look like they will work good as well.
