An option for Orange!?!?

Post by Rackman »

I've heard a rumor and I was wondering if anyone else has heard that Cycle Works, new to Calgary, may be getting KTM... Another option in town may be nice. I assume that most of team orange is purchasing from Blackfoot, but are there any other dealers south of Edmonton?

A & E in Brooks knows their stuff and they stock parts. They put parts on the bus and it's in Calgary for pickup the same evening. It's real convenient. Usually only $10 for shipping.

I talked to Cycle Works in November but they still hadn't gotten their dealership with KTM set up yet. I was told a month. The Cycle Works in Edmonton is a KTM dealer.

There is also Turple Bros in Red Deer and Lethbridge Honda. I think A & E is the best option.

I will likely stick with A&E in Brooks as I just can't get enough of Dave French's congenial attitude. :applause:

And he knows these things better than any teenager at Blackfoot parts ever will

Dave's a charmer!
At the very first Crownest XC (way back) he was accused of being the "kind of man that pulled the wings off flies!!" . Needless to say this racer (female) never came back out again!! lol!

A&E has most parts in stock, know the product inside & out, and a trip there is like going shopping in a toy store, they have ALL the goodies. Dave is also an enthusiest, and puts tons of time into supporting the sport.

Every KTM comes with a brief case, that includes owners manual, parts manual, suspension service manuals & tool kit. I keep the old tool kit, just in case you loose the new one.

Actually Blackfoot is not even going to be a option anymore for KTM. They are selling there remainder bikes, and then they are done. I heard a rumor that Walt Healy's is going to start selling Husaberg's, is that true? Looking at the advertisements on here, I would say that this is true.

So it is true, they don't give you a rebuild kit?

Whats up with that (providing this still stands for 2-strokes).

When shopping for a replacement bike I asked all the KTM owners if they came with a rebuild kit and if it was installed (to get a judgment of how much use was on the bike). I got responses of "i don't know" and no they don't need them (BS).

I bought a beautiful orange pen and got a bike with it!!!

They don't come with a rebuild kit, but do come with lots of other stuff too. I have owned several new RM's, KX's etc and the rebuild kit is nice but does not hold a candle to the KTM difference! You get so much other "extra" stuff when you get a KTM that the rebuild kit is insignificant in my opinion.
