Thumpertalk - Decent prices on offroad parts and equipment

Post by crazy2wheeler »

Hey Dave, you mentioned that you were gonna dump the thumpertalk add from off of the RMDRA site, but that the club can get a little cash from it...

Is the club compensated on a "click-through" basis? or does their site actually track where you came from when you made a purchase?

If it's the click-through, we (club members) should all make an effort of clicking on the logo/ad each time we are on the site. People could either right click and open it in another window - and then just close it if they want, thus not disturbing their visit to RMDRA site. Or just make clicking on the logo/add the last thing you do before you leave the site (and again, just close if you want).

If they are able to track where you "came from" when making purchases, anyone who is going to make a purchase should first come to the RMDRA site and then go to the TT site via clicking on the TT logo on our site. I know I've given them several thousand dollars (US$) already this past year. Id certainly do what I can to have a portion of that come back to the club - even if it's just to buy the girls' drinks on Thursday nights!

Cheers!

The clicks are tracked and we would get money if the person buys within 30 days of clicking. It uses a cookie on your machine to track it so cookies must be enabled.

So if you click on the banner below and then buy something we get a very small commission (Starts at less than 1% and goes up to 5% the more people buy). It's all about volume on the Internet :D

<a href="http://shop.thumpertalk.com/?Click=1806"><img border=0 src="http://shop.thumpertalk.com/templates/N ... 1.gif"></a>

I just checked our stats on TT this week and we have had 25 clicks and zero (0) purchases so zero commission. It's only been set up for about 8 weeks.

By the way, we get paid by the click on the google ads. They are the text ads or non-local banners on the forum and web site.

Thanks for the info - now we know where we can find the ad/link if we're gonna make a purchase!

And, btw (Dave)... you need to change your auto-signature... It still lists a WR but no XC/W!
