Dual sports are great, but the problem with them is you have to be 7' to ride them! Ok, well maybe not, but I am 6'4" and the DRZ-400 I rode had me leaning off the seat to get one foot on the ground!

Well I am 5'4" and rode our old DRZ400 at maclean so I hear ya about height! I had to plan the stops!

How is the 230 for size?? How do they compare to the 250 four stroke? And why did you decide on the 230 and not the 250's?

Just curious.

Have your rode a SV-1000 or SV-650? I hear they are great bikes (650 could use a bit more power), but great seating postion for travel and what not. I luckly find my R1 quite comfy and do an annual camping/bike trip ranging from 5000 - 9000 km's every year. I think I find it comfy because of my size as most of the "height challenged" find them uncomfortable.

I'm impressed that you rode a DRZ offroad. I think I would have a hell of time with that bike with its weight and height.
