Camping locations suggestions that are not nodes

Any suggestions for crown land camping and riding areas where the camping is not in nodes. My go to place has been Koocanusa but looking for something a little closer. Livingston appears to be node campsites. I was at Porcupine Hills about 10 years ago and it was great but what is it like now? Fallen Timber seems to have gone to camping nodes also. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
