Albert Parks cancels volunteer programs

I worry about the progression of our society when I see stuff like this

The part that scares me is "assess all volunteer activities to ensure they comply with the same occupational health and safety standards as parks staff." I sure hope this doesn't mean that because parks staff can't (I'm assuming) ride a dirt bike with a chainsaw, then we can't. Or that to use an OHV for trail maintenance access, you need to take a course and prove your ability.............

Down here in Texas, to use a chainsaw on Forest Service land you need to be certified via a two day course on chainsaw operation or you can't use a chainsaw on Forest Service land. And the certification needs to be renewed every two years. It really impacts the volunteer base.
