Old School fun from the 80's

Post by axel99 »

Had almost completed this project along time ago, with the exception of the cabinet art work. Finally decided to buy some pre-printed artwork and wrap it up. It's a full size, fully functional replica of a arcade game cabinet similar to Joust made by Williams. I had to design the cabinet and all the wiring from photos and schematics, its programmed to play several Williams games that are mostly horizontal play, my favorites are defender, bezerk and moon patrol. Growing up I didn't have alot of discretionary funds to "waste" on stupid video games. Now I can play all I want :).

Nice work man, I would love to have a cabinet in my house. However, it would have to be of this variety. Except with SFII inside...

Awesome. I liked pinball <allot> and my guilty pleasure is to sometimes surf Ebay looking for old machines but don't have the space or the funds to allocate to one of those old beauties. Nice project!

I actually still have my table top pacman. The small one that came in donkey kong, Galatia and pacman. I might have to break it out. :applause:

Pinball machines are just a awesome mix of mechanical and electrical wizardry(all the blinky lights hypnotize me). Can't help with the funds but I can always make space at my place. :D

Nice machine Alex! Don't let your hobby become an obsession though. I'll have to have you over and see if you can beat my hi scores on Galaga and Sinistar! Kevin.
