Man, what an amazing service they had for my buddy Chris Bonneau at Blackfoot Motocross Park today.They had a huge tent set up with his pimped out never ridden
2007 RM 250 2 stroke, his 1985 RM125, Mannequins done up in his newer riding gear & some of his old gear, Huge full size prints that covered the entire end of the tent,lots of large pics, magazine articles,his jerseys from over the years, slide show,etc. Mitch Brown worked long hours for the last week to help put this together & he did just an incredible job.Nice one Mitch
With just under 500 people, it was a great showing for just how many people Chris knew & had helped over the years.Lots of Moto greats from the past there with Ross Pederson, Tom Gates, Bart Stevenson, etc.
When I did the trail names map for the club I thought it was fitting to name a trail in Chris's Honour, as he had helped the club out on several occasions and he was going through so much trying to beat cancer - Kinda like a "Hels Gate Final" only it was 7 years long.When Chris was sitting around the camp fire he often told a joke about a dude named Johhny 2 Ski Doo's - it was very funny. Hence you will find a trail at McLean named "Johhny 2 Ski Doo's" think of 513 when you roost that sweet single track. so long buddy

Trailguy, thanks for sharing some details of the service and the origin of the trail name Johhny 2 Ski Doo's.

I was out poking around on my own yesterday and came across a trail head I'd never seen before. I checked the map and found it was the south end of Johnny 2 Ski Doos. I set out down the trail and all was quiet, nature at it's best. I rode slowly, a bit timid as it was new to me. I felt secure, safe, not alone. Thanks Trailguy...now I know why.

I only met you on a couple occasions Chris, but each time you made an impression. You were a well known an very respected man.
