New!

Post by Highwaystreets »

Hey guys and girls,

New member here from Calgary. Just bought a 2000 honda cr250 and I'm excited to get it out on the trails.

Just have to get it all legal to ride, lots of stuff to add on! As of now the bike is at my place in Montana as I have private land to ride so no lights required!

Anyways looking forward to meeting you guys and get some good riding in!

Stay safe everyone!

Welcome aboard and good choice of bikes. Add some battery operated lights and a plate and you're good to go here. I'm riding a CR too, the big brother to the 250

Yah I've been looking at options and I'm thinking battery as well. Adding a stator and such is just to expensive!

What light setup do you run? I'm still looking for something

And thanks for the welcome

I'm actually running a pretty pricey set-up with a stator/cdi and Baja designs LED light. Roughly $1k. No need to spend that to be legal however. I know there are others that run the battery powered ones from Mountain Equipment Co-op and similar. Hopefully someone will chip in. I also neglected to mention that you require a silencer with a spark arrestor as well.

Vehicle Equipment: Off-highway vehicles must be equipped with the following equipment: a headlamp, tail lamp, and a muffler.
(Off-Highway Vehicle Regulation, Sections: 5, 6, and 8.)
It seems so simple...... :smirk:

Here is the Off-Highway Vehicle Regulation document for you detail guys.....
