New to "real" enduro riding
New to "real" enduro riding
Hey, just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Cory, aka OsoBlanco. In 2009 I bought a BMW F800GS and have put 70,000km on it in 28 countries since. I did manage to do some single track on it with Spinalguy in Mclean last fall. Clearly a 500lb dual sport is out of it's element in that environment! Time to add a more purpose built ride to the stable.
Yesterday I picked up a 2011 Husaberg 570fe. I just bought a RMDRA membership too. Looking forward to getting out and exploring the local single track

I like the smaller girls too but I'm 6'3" and 260lbs in gear and I was afraid that I may be too much for one of them when things got, er..... close

My swedeheart (see what I did there?) is a little bigger, and is quite the handful if you give her a twist!
I'm no small fry either. Look forward to seeing you out on the trails.

If I was your size, I'm pretty sure I'd like the 570 also. I like the big displacement better than the regular size 450 sizes hands down.OsoBlanco wrote:I like the smaller girls too but I'm 6'3" and 260lbs in gear and I was afraid that I may be too much for one of them when things got, er..... close

Tom, you know my background within the OHV community over the years. Watching more and more trails and entire areas close every year is depressing. Despite closures to truck and quad trails, it seems that the bike trails remain and are even expanding in some cases. Groups like the RMDRA seem to have a great rapport with SRD. If I'm going it ride a dirtbike, I need some place to ride it so it seems like a no-brainer to support the team that keeps the trails openSpinalguy wrote:props for joining RMDRA
