New member looking for safe easy place to ride.

Post by Hardnox12 »

Good day,

Just poking Good day,

Just poking around on the web and found you guys... Looks like a great forum for a semi new dirt rider. I've been into bikes ever since I was about 13 with my first dirt bike (PW80) and grew from there. Primarily now I'm into road racing and even run my own track day company (HardNox Track Dayz) for the sport bike enthusiasts. However I'm starting to get back into the dirt as I think that it will allow the whole family to participate. So I have a question for all of you... Where is there around Calgary I can take my young family to play out in the woods/country that is safe, easy, and close by. I have a fair bit of experience but my wife is very new to the dirt, my boy is still too young (18 months) for his PW50, and my nephew is 10. I want to find a place for my nephew to learn as he has never ridden a dirt bike before. Possibly just a large flat grass field would be best.

Any help would be appreciated and thanks for your time!

There are grass fields out at McLean creek. I have a good idea... Why not sign up and join us on a Club Night and we'll show you around McLean?

New member as of last week. With a newborn, free time is sparse. I am going to try and get out to club meetings once life does get back on track. :D

I live in the SE and would be very interested in picking up a map for myself and the wife. I'm willing to drive.

TIA

Sorry to hijack the thread a bit but is the club Map different to the one you pick up at Maclean from the info sign?
