Hello all,
I figured I would put up and introduction. I've been riding on two wheels since I was three and love it. I got my motorcycle 6 years ago and put 70k on it. My brother has a dirt bike and now I've started to move in that direction too. I have a daughter that is almost three. My brother had a little honda 70 that was sold to a friend of mine. I was out at my friends farm and my daughter (1 at the time) wanted to go for a ride. I put her in front of me and took off. She loved it! I tried stopping and she kept saying, "more, more, more!". So, away we went. She was content to ride for a couple of hours before she wanted to do something else. Since then I have bought her a 70 which I've been playing on too. I took it out to Wild Rose MX the other day. Took my brother too. He has a honda 230. I loved it! I broke her bike. Poor kid. Just a chain issue, I'll fix that one easy. I was sore and I want more! I took my daughter out to McLean creek. Got in a little trouble from the people maintaining the camp ground but learnt lots and we both loved it. I'm hoping to get out lots and would like to get a bigger bike for me. I look pretty silly riding around on hers. Anyway, that's me in a nut shell. I love two wheels. Road bicycle, mountain biking, dirt bikes and motorcycles. I love lots of other things too, but I'll stick to two wheels on this forum. I hope to learn more about the tracks at Wild Rose and explore McLean Creek and Waiparous. I heard about the barbwire that was put out across a path on the radio. That's a little scary. I hope things like that don't happen too often. If anyone has feedback on good place to go ride I would appreciate it. I've just been driving around with the bike trying to find places. So far it's gone well.

Wildrose is a great family friendly place to hang out. We have 2 little guys and spend many hours there every week. I would be happy to show you around wildrose once you get a bike for you.

Thanks Hooligan, I did join the club yesterday. I look forward to learning more about the trails. I loved wildrose but what I'm looking forward to most is McLean Creek and Waiparous. I'm moving out to Cochrane later in the year so I'll be even closer to Waiparous.Hooligan wrote:Welcome.
Join the club and get the trail map that comes with membership. Club nights are a great way to meet other riders and learn where the trails are located.

Thanks BigBird. Wildrose certianly did seem like a family friendly place. I loved seeing all the little people riding. I will be heading out there with my brothers bike (honda 230). I have started checking kijiji for a bike of my own but I'm juggling a lot of things right now. I'm in the process of selling my condo and trying to move into a bigger place with a garage. I need space to store my toys now that I'm accumulating them. I'm going to miss living in Acadia but will be very happy to have a garage. Woohoo!BigBird wrote:Wildrose is a great family friendly place to hang out. We have 2 little guys and spend many hours there every week.
