It wasn't the splash that tasted gritty, it was the roost!

I'm just happy when I can get in there for a little while before you check out. :smirk:

I thought Monty & Patrick did an excellent job with the course - unfortunately it rained alot the week prior to the race and there was a big storm that hit late afternoon the day before which dumped a good 15mm of rain. This resulted in the bottom falling out of the "B" loop. On my second A/B loop I was shocked how many Nov. Vets. and Ladies were just sitting on the side of the course that had lapsed into Defcon 5. On my third A/B loop it was so bad it took alot of digging deep just to get through some of the B loop sections- luckly all the lower skill level classes had long been cut-off by then.

My third B lap was more of a general skills session, exposing the many gaping holes in my game. Still had a blast, big shout out to Monty and Mitch and all the volunteers. And Jody who helped drag me out of the muskeg.....theres nothing better than having a 110lb lady pushing you off your bike and showing you how its done

Jody and lady in the same sentence. And don't feel bad, she's taught most guys in Alberta a lesson one time or another.
