CMA race at Waiparous Creek Saturday 9/22

Post by dirtyboy »

I heard some info from one of the organizers that the regular times will be different for this race:

The race will have an A and B split for the different classes.

Sign in will be 730 to 930. Riders meeting at 10. Optional parade lap for pros experts and inter. All at whispering pines staging area. Road on right hand side after bridge. On the Ghost map it is called the Waiparous Creek Staging Area.

Sounds like fun!

I was planning on this until I got the fever the past 3 days, bummed out :crybaby:

Considering the area, should be a wicked race!

Awesome race! Lot's of nice single track. I'm super happy the SuperVet's got to do the A loop. It was a great loop.

The only issue there was had to be the Conservation Officers hassling folks and the race organizers. The organizers had to move the scoring tents up to the top of the hill because they weren't allowed to ride up the legal quad trail, even though they had a sign not to ride past a certain point on the grass staging area.

The timing results are listed already. Link

My GPS didn't track anything this time. If anyone would share the track with me, please PM. :D

Really fun course & like Dirty Boy said, great call having the Super Vets riding the A loop - nice fresh trail
The Fish Cops were the only downer all weekend. Circling the meadow in a Helicopter like we all just escaped from San Quinton maximum security. Hassling folks standing around eating burgers waiting for awards to start. They should really try & find something useful to do, like go out and do some trail work.

That's what the nonohv users did and that's why parks and rec were there.

I have written a letter! That was pathetic. The so called fish cops don't get it, we are not the bad people. Just the easy target. Race was great action was intense. Thanks to all the RMDRA / CMRC riders that joined in on the action! Hope we can do this race again next year.

I did it too. It is really easy and I feel much better about the whole thing after getting it off my chest. Thanks for the link. It looks like you can do it for almost anything and I intend to continue to do so when I get frustrated about how many single-track trails that there are.
