Awesome banter, glad to hear you will be there....

Hopefully we all don't get beat by a 12year old on a 125....

Might want to bring a paddle tire, some of the kids did last year and the straight line speed was profound, it was cool to watch.

This Saturday night entertainment is getting quite competitive.

See you this weekend, Tab

I have an old KX 500 I might try I don't know what I'll do if that beast grabs traction suddenly.

High water levels close Klondyke Ferry near Fort Assiniboine

Fort Assiniboine... Motorists are advised that the Klondyke Ferry closed July 24 due to high water levels. The ferry carries Highway 661 traffic over the Athabasca River.

A further advisory will be issued when the ferry reopens.
The Alberta government operates seven ferries on the provincial highway network. Visit www.transportation.alberta.ca/1965.htm for more information on Alberta’s highway ferries.

Just another reason to go to Fort Assiniboine instead of Vega

For those that have not attended the Vega race put on by the awesome crew up there...YOU SHOULD GO!

Its an awesome race, the courses are super fun and its a very cool place to ride, unlike anything we have around Calgary...cant even compare. These guys put a ton of work into it and it truly is one of my favorite races. Trudy dragged my but up there years ago for my first race and I am so glad she did.

Get off the fence and get up there...yes its a long drive for some, but its a hoot. Cant say how bummed I am i wont be there.

Cheers!

Got an update I'm suppose to pass along, the ferry at Vega is closed.
You'll have to go thru Fort Assiniboine to get to the race site. Spread the word to anyone going please.
