Porkies XC May Long Weekend
Re: Porkies XC May Long Weekend
I agree AJRJ, I love riding in the porkies!!! It was a fun race. I had my struggles but overall rode good I thought. Love those trails!
Great finishes in their class by AJRJ, Dirtyboy, and Dobi. I can't believe that Jason Schrage took a $500 bet the night before to race on a 150 and still won!! Also great job staying on course 350scott. You had a great ride from way back to 3rd after an entagled fence/bike situation (video to follow...any music preferences? )
Here's the first 3 1/2 minutes of my race.

I'll admit I had a bit of butterflies in the stomach racing a 100km event, no experience, and up against some awesome competition. It ended up being one of the best times I have had in a LONG time. Good people here and all have been so helful to me....thanks

Great video as always Twotired, Looking forward to another season of it.
I think Dobi deserves a special as his finish in 30A was no joke. There's some tough company in that class.

I would love to do that race every weekend, well maybe every weekend until the Dirtier Moose and then we could move on to Waiparous.AJRJ wrote:Great video DB, you were hauling through those trees. What a great course, and the conditions were awesome. I'd do that race every weekend.
Your SX was flying across the field! It looked a little jumpy there like a high spirited stallion. Looking forward to more race action.twotired wrote:I agree AJRJ, I love riding in the porkies!!! It was a fun race. I had my struggles but overall rode good I thought. Love those trails!

A not-so-fast start, and a not-so-fast ride.... but here is some cool singletrack for those of you to lazy to go down and ride!!!
I am not competative in the 40A class this year, nor in shape to even try, so I have a couple goals... dont get in anyone's way, and enjoy each race. I picked a pace I thought I would be able to have fun with and enjoy the WHOLE race, loved every second!!! even Dirtyboy passing me
