2012 Lethbridge Areanacross
2012 Lethbridge Areanacross
One of our younger club members had a very good weekend down at the Lethbridge AX. This event hasn't happened the last two years due to the Enmax Center undergoing major reno's.Ty raced the Montreal Supercross a couple of years ago and was keen to get back indoors. The format this year was a two day event with each day as a separate race. After the 2nd day your points were totaled from each day for the Alberta AX Championship.
Day 1 - In the 65cc Main Ty went back and forth with a kid from Drum. with them both crashing together over the finish line jump on the last lap.The boy from Drum got the win by half a wheel. It was by far the best race of all the Mains that night.
Day 2 - Ty Holeshot & checked out by a large margin for the win. He was feeling much more comfortable on the 2nd day.
So his 2 -1 gave him the 65cc AB AX Championship.
On the 2nd day he wanted more track time so he also raced the 7 - 11 year old 85cc class on his SX65. He won the Main in that class with a pass on 1st place with two corners to go on the last lap.
He was stoked and left with some really cool trophy's and a ton of swag. They also gave prizes for the holeshots in all the Mains.
Have to give it up to the Over The Bars Club & Lethbridge Motorcycle Club. I think I've been to just about every AX since the early 1990's and they really hit this one out of park. Very well organized, everything went on time, great track, lots of fast Pro's.

Anyone going to Kalispell AX on March 9th and 10th?

We were looking at that race as well Dave, should be a good event. Unfortunately Ty has Hockey playoff's that weekend.Dave P wrote:Anyone going to Kalispell AX on March 9th and 10th?
