Why does your throttle stick like that? It did that on the tire wall at Riviere's too.
I know you must be pulling the cable out lifting the slide to WOT, but how?
You should really fix that...

In aviation they try to design that kind of error out of the machines.
Could you imagine what would happen if your throttle cable on the
Boeing (if it had one) stuck wide open like that? :hyper:

Its not fixable twotired, it's a poor design, and the common "cure" would have taken me forever to get going again but still wouldn't have prevented it from happening.

Ok boys and girls, just making waffles for the rattlesnake and gang, then we will meander out to the airport and fly to Kitchener, spend the night with friends then drive up to Owen sound early friday. Hopefully Fri after noon I'll get my brake pads changed, filter and double check things. Then I'll sneak out to the special tests, behind some pro's and look at the lines they look at. (there is a secret for you!!!) :). One of the issues I had in Quebec was that I rode everything like it was a surprise, looking down at the front fender. I hope to change that this weekend.

Or you could just safety wire it. when you are back call me and I'll show you what i do. Maybe remove your bar pad for the next two rounds too.

Good Luck Howard, and have fun!

When you get back to Cochrane, stop by and we'll safety wire that throttle cable (and maybe the brake pad pins too)

OK, that's the solution. I run my cable along the right side of my frame and around front and underneath the handlebars. That way it's completely out of the way from branches and also the stabilizer (if you run one). But the stock cable is a tad short and I find they wear quickly this way.

Good find Steve-o.

I can't believe that I didn't help you with that throttle cable. I guess you missed my throttle cable wiring demo at the meeting. :crybaby: You were flying before that mis-fortune! :applause:

That was a longer and much more interesting Extreme test than I experienced out there 2 years ago. I bet you liked that test as you were motoring through the sand there.

Go get 'em at Motopark this weekend!

While the rattlesnake (big and mini) and mini 37 put the fear of God into the townfolk of Owensound, I went changed stuff and walked the tests. Hmmmm real jumps, I'm screwed.
