Turkey Scramble at Wild Rose October 24th

Post by d4rk5trok3r »

Here is a heads up, as Wild Rose is always behind on the timely info.

"Yes Jason,

We finalized last night the Turkey scrambles will be Sunday Oct 24th. You are the first to know!

Hey I have heard some rumors, is this going on this coming weekend? There is no news whatsoever on your page regarding.

Thanks!"

This is still not on their webpage anywhere, but it came from the horses mouth!

Saw some videos of last years event, looked like fun! I don't know anything more than the above, as in prices, classes, course, etc.

Myself and some friend plan to attend, make yourself free that day and come out as well, should be fun!

Last year it was just a fun single track wound around the whole place. No classes, no prizes, no winners. took all of about 10 min to ride the loop, 5 for Shane Cuth.
Yup. Got a new one.

update to the event!

From the Wild Rose newsletter!

"010 Turkey Scramble Date Announced!

WRMA's oldest race, the annual Turkey Scramble will be held on Sunday October 24th. The Turkey Scramble is the only off road style event held at Blackfoot park. The event will feature a scrambles style course covering the entire park including hills, woods sections and speed flats. All riders run together for the infamous 2 hour mega moto complete with gas stops. This is a fun event and the idea is to finish, we don't keep track of your position (except the lead rider so we know who to flag off first).

The cost to enter is $10 (plus gate fees if you are a non member). Spectators are free. Anyone can enter the event but beginners and very small bikes may have trouble with the course. Sign in is from 10am to noon with practice beginning at noon. The park will be closed to casual riding until the completion of the event around 2pm (except the mini track which will be will be holding mini motos). After the Turkey Scrambles the park will open for regular riding until 6pm.

See you at the Turkey Scramble!"

Come on out all you guided riders. If you made it out every Wednesday, you can make it out to this!

i.e.: Chevmack, Mediumdee, Porschev, Giantjoe, Flamesfan, Bikingagain, etc....... you know who you are!!

I think my wife gave me clearance to go last night. I'll have to confirm that though.

This sounds like it could be fun.

The race was a great event, really neat mix of track and trees. Lots of flat outs to contend with, but some trees and climbs to scare the mx'rs!

Look forward to Chevmack's report on his experience..... I almost put myself in the lagoon on one pass!

That race was a blast! Thanks to D4ark5trok3r for chiming up this event otherwise I would have never know about it......nice to see Chev and Mediumdee out there as well.

Don't know if anymore riding is going to happen for the rest of the year but what a way to top off another great season. :canada:

When's the Turkey this year? I blew my knee out on the first lap last year, so I need a little revenge with that track!

That was a lot of fun! I wish they would include a couple jumps though.
Also I might just be too competitive but it would be nice to know how you finished.
