Well, was up at 5am and found my way through the fog to Labelle, excellent drive. The first lap is almost in the books, the pros are starting to trickle in. First time through the special test for pros was not timed. A little taste of J Thomas.

Thanks for the video 37. I remember and hated that extreme section because of the big round rocks we had to ride over.

Can't wait to see how they go through there on a "timed" lap. :D

I missed the start of Jareds second extreme test, he looked good and smooth through the rest of it. Jason pegged a monster rock hard around a corner but kept going, Shane went down in the sand at the bottom of the sandhill, Lee Fryberger looked really good(for an old hillbilly).

I guess some of the transver sections are quite rough.

Last year the transfer sections were snowmobile trails that had never had motorcycles on them so they dug out real fast and the rocks were NASTY! The rocks are slippery like ice there even when dry. But most of the sled trails at LaBelle are in the shade and have that really black earth and monster rocks in them.

I remember in the Enduro test there was a turn where there was about a 6 foot rock slabe that appeared and it was like ice. Initiate turn, slide on left foot and both tires for 6 feet, try to drive out of it using the black earth and roots as traction on top of the ice.

And then there were some ledges about 3 feet high made out of the same snotty stuff that you had to ride up. :smirk:

keep in mind it's from my phone, and I'm like a kid in a candy store. It's nice to be at a race and not feel like puking...
