Porcupine Hills XC - 2018

Post by cerealkiller »

Seems like this race snuck up on me! Just curious if anyone has ridden in the area this spring and can provide a trail condition report. With the heat we've been having, is it safe to assume Porkies is all dried out?

Forecast looks pretty good as far as I'm concerned - but we will see how it plays out! Closest location I could find to the race site is "Peigan Timber Limit 147B" (https://www.theweathernetwork.com/ca/we ... limit-147b).

Currently projected to rain Thursday, just a sprinkle on Friday and then 15 and a little cloudy for Saturday with little chance of rain. That's a nice racing temperature in my book - as long as it isn't too greasy.

Who is coming out?

Last weekend the south end was fantastic. I'm not sure where the race course is going but I think it should be good.

Looks to be a pretty rainy day there today. We shall see how it dries up by Saturday.

For those that aren’t on social media porkies has been postponed one day. Adults Sunday, kids Monday.
