For those of you who skipped the race because of the rain - it was wet, but quite ride-able. "B" riders were only tasked with the second loop, which had few hills or particularly challenging obstacles.

It was good, but would have been excellent if dry!

It was loads of fun, but greasy, I struggled a fair bit in the muck. Interesting event for my first XC race. Funny how things that would be no problem on a casual trail ride get much harder when you ride for two+ hours with no rest, and the best lines are always littered with resting bikes and cursing riders.

Yeah that was fun. Don't usually get so much back and forth on an XC.

By the way Marco, did you happen to see where I ended up? I guessed based on my footage. After finishing behind you I packed up immediately and took off in disgust. :smirk:

nice video. The conditions on that loop don't look too bad. By the time we got around to it after the A loop it was pouring rain. That sidehill at the 3 minute mark was sketchy!!

Good job.

Enjoyed that vid.
Just couldn't get this old body into gear and found that fear is a major hurdle when racing. Tough day for me.

I Enjoyed the video too. Nice to see footage from the Porkies XC that I missed. Looks similar to 2012 Porkies HS which I had posted a couple of videos on this site of that race but I was asked to remove because they were too muddy!
