Did anyone hear if they changed the classes in CMA, they were proposing the following to further align with CMRC back in the fall......

CMA Classes / CMRC Equivalent

Novice / Junior
Intermediate / Intermediate
Expert / Expert
Pro / Pro
Vet 30 / Plus 30 B
Vet 30 Exp / Plus 30 A

Vet (39+) / Plus 40 B
Vet Expert (39+) / Plus 40 A
Super Vet (49+) / Plus 50
Legend (59+)
Women Pro / Ladies A
Women Ladies / Intermediate

I asked some sgc folks about this at the bike show, sounds like the new classes were approved.

Thanks Josh, ya Rhonda P emailed last night and confirmed, so who goes in Intermediate & Novice now, 29 & under?

SECTION TWO CROSS COUNTRY, SHORT COURSE
(formerly Hare Scrambles)
A cross country race held on a closed course, 5 to 25 km in length and of 2 to 3 hours duration.
Note: Organizers may identify their event as Cross Country or continue to use the Hare Scrambles designation.

(a) Pro, Expert, Intermediate, Novice, Novice B, Women, Women Expert, Legends, Super Veteran, Veteran, Veteran Expert, Veteran 30+ Expert (includes Intermediate riders), Veteran 30+ Novice
No displacement breakdown

Mini Junior (65cc 2 strokes/100cc 4 strokes or 120cc 4 stroke auto clutch)
Mini Senior (85cc-105cc 2 strokes/150cc 4 strokes)

This is a nice change. The Novice and Intermediate classes are usually the largest. I failed to even score a point last year in Intermediate. :crybaby: Don't know whether I can look forward to any podiums in 30A, but maybe this will improve the odds. :thinking:
