I didn't realize the schedules were available. Cool. I'm going to hazard a guess that because the Black Lung is also a CXCC round, it is likely to go ahead. If not, there will be some disappointed BC riders.

The Black Lung is down in the Crowsnest area. Not sure of the exact staging area though.

CMRC schedule is up on AMSA website, CXCC schedule is up on World Enduro Canada website and PNWMA schedule is finally up as well.

The Mountain Goat 100 was cancelled September long weekend last year...and it was CXCC. The Black Lung is in the same politically sensitive zone. Hopefully they don't have problems again.

I wonder if the name is indicative of the race being held in an old coal mine? Surely that would not be considered a sensitive area?

From what I understand the gov't rep in the area was the problem, citing environmental issues as his excuse. It's good to see that the race promoters are still making plans and not giving up in frustration. Hopefully lessons learned will be valueable to their efforts.

My understanding is that the sensitive mountain goat habitat is within a particular time frame... and so it has been moved earlier to avoid that window.
