Here's the poster for the 2015 event. A big thanks to all our sponsors for their continued support of this great event.

The format is a 2 loop cross country event. The loops are coming together quite nicely, and should offer some great riding and racing. This year due to a change in the rulebook, we will thankfully be able to run a time cut off on the first loop. This means that more people will be able to get out on the second loop than last year.

Hoping to get as many new or first time people out as possible, so if you've been thinking about it, come out and give it a try.

Hey Geoff, could you clarify this? These two sentences seem to contradict each other.

Last year you had to run the full course designated for your class.... or dnf. So we had to be restrictive on loops. Make a cutoff time that is manageable for organizers and volunteers to get slow guys off and half the class dnfs but the top guys enjoy the whole course. So we had to limit Bs to one loop.
This year we can say all Bs do the entire race but cutoff is say 2hrs... nobody gets DNF'ed for not doing second loop but we get to find everyone before dark...

Sounds good. Is there a cutoff point in the middle of the first loop for us slow guys to worry about?

lots of great spots for a sweeper to pull you off course and send you back on a quad trail, but you won't need it. The first loop is a great loop that Howard designed for everyone to finish with a big smile on their face.

You need to be worried about one thing only.... the echo between your ears.


No, the loop is designed so that technical sections are short and sweet. Eg if you are not comfortable with a downhill, it's a quick bulldog. Or if someone gets stuck on an uphill in front of you there are lots of ways around.

Can a guy or gal join in without a RMDRA membership and do you need a number or CMA membership?

First race for me and might ask a few friends to join in.

No RMDRA membership required, you do need a CMRC license (the sanctioning body). You can buy a day license for 1/2 price I believe.

How about a 2.5 hour cutoff? 2 hours takes the second loop out for some of us (me).
