Rocky Mountain Dirt Riders

Anyone making the trek out to Lytton this year for the CXCC West? I am hoping to improve on my embarrassing performance from last year which ended in smashed ribs from a rather lame get-off during the first lap of the XC.

Looks like it will be a scorcher. Highs in the high 30's (one forecast says a high of 39 for both Saturday and Sunday) for both days!

Bring lots of water!

I'm heading out that way tomorrow. We are going to hit a few fishing holes and golf courses on the way.

Should be a scorcher with those temperatures. Any word about the Cisco fire? It was only 50% contained yesterday.
I think the race site is 30 km north of the fire so hopefully the wind blows the other way..

The fire is on the other side of the river as far as I know. Might see some smoke, but unless it jumps the valley there shouldn't be any flames.
