Update:

Registration is coming along, but is far from full yet. After a conversation with Carly of Red Bull today, my understanging is that the course will be "softened" for Juniors & Ladies, then progressively "unsoftened" as the day proceeds so that everyone has a challenging but doable experience.

RMDRA has received a limited number of free entries for members - preference will be given by volunteering history this year. PM me if you want to get in on the action!

Finally, please check out the opportunity to volunteer on the race course and potentially manning an RMDRA booth at the event: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=10929

Hope to see you there!

Please give the free entry to Hendrix13 so we can watch him flail around, smash up his bike, sweat like a pig AND then sit on the side with that deflated look.

I tried. Perhaps some peer pressure might be helpful?

I didn't attend the event, but the video looks awesome. Robert makes an appearance at 1:15 . :nworthy:

at 3:09, I really enjoyed how you slammed your bike to the ground as if it were a wrestling match.

That was entirely intentional. I had failed to crest that wall cleanly two or three times already and so gave it a little more go. Once I realized it was a bit too much go, I wanted the bike to land on the flat rather than breaking a rear fender or "high-siding" out of bounds.

I personally liked the clean dismount...

Definitely a 8.5! The guy who went over the bars on the downside of the waterfalls and touched down on his feet, running in front of the tumbling bike was a 10. Totally looked like he had planned it from the start.
