Exhaust rules for 2006

This noise thing has been my " up on a soap box" mission for a few years now, and it is sure rewarding to see the bike community comming onboard so strong. It will be fun taking the message of the bike community being so proactive, to Gov meetings I attend. Any EXC (both 2 & 4 stroke) muffler in good shape is both quite enough to pass and have a USFS spark arrester.

I have the stock silencer off my '05 300exc that is new, I've never used it. Who wants it? If they are going for 90US new I'm not outta line asking 100$ for it. I'll have it on saturday and sunday for the HS.

sludge!!! The stock 300exc exhaust doesn't pass?? I never even looked at it - just assumed it would!! (I've never seen any sparks!! lol!)

My GasGas 300 doesn't come with a S/A etiher. I modified the stock by adding a S/A from an KTM so it should be legal, I hope!

Do not fear, something is amise. The EXC mufflers EASILY pass the 96 db sound test the world over. So either your muffler is BADLY in need of a repack, or something was out of wack when testing.
