Here is some good photos and reporting on the advrider thread for more insight into the terrain we rode.

One post on there nailed it, saying that its a fine line between going hard enough for good ST times but slow enough to not wreck yourself or the bike and lasting six days. I took a nasty 3rd/4th gear tumble on the first day ST and that cooled my gung-ho'ness quickly.

Hey Mark, great write up. Hopefully you can get to Kooc this weekend and tell the tales around the fire with a few wobblies

Nice to see that the Pros had issues on this test. I really enjoyed this one in particular but the uphill was beat to he** on the second lap we went through it.

Enjoy the Thanksgiving Kooc ride Tom and gang. Great place to finish off the season. I'm taking this weekend off and no riding for me. :)

Mark, you have captured the six days fever and I gather that you were very fortunate to have experienced one of the best six days. Until you've been to one, you never really understand the passion and patriotism and I'm happy, also, very proud, that you experienced it. Good on ya!!!! It shows grit and integrity, slugging through very long days and a tough course with what has been a very soft ankle for you this summer and kudos for manning up :nworthy: . Some find it hard to do when they are healthy but you found that strength that only six day guys get to experience. I hope your stories inspire others to go as well, as its is truly an incredible experience, both as a competitor and as a spectator.

Looking forward to hearing more tales Mark.

Again, Congratulations!!!

fry
