Re: 05 250 CRFX Stalling in 4th?
I have the exact same bike. For sure check the fuel delivery to the carb and all vent lines and air screw. Never removed the petcock on the tank but there may be a screen there pluged up with 37's cigarette butts. I thought I saw him empty his ashtray into scott's gas tank, a couple of times. Probab...

Re: Canadian Extreme Hard Enduro Announcement - XTINCTION!
Also, I wanted to make a shameless plug for a local business, approx ten minutes south of the venue, in Patricia, the infamous Patricia Hotel. For those to, lets say, unprepared to cook, clean and serve yourself, you will find great service, bevvies, and a steak pit. Sunday is open to the entire fa...

Re: Diesel trucks
For the Ford guys... http://www.f250andf350dieselengineproblems.com/ Wow, only in California!!!! Laws that ensure the vendor honors the written or implied warranty are not new, but laws that force the vendor to give you a refund or a new replacement!!!, not sure we have that in Canuck law. It must ...

Re: KTM Brakes
You have air trapped in the brake line. Air will compress in the brake line when you pull on the lever, liquids don't compress, principles of hydraulics. There are a couple of different techniques to bleed your brakes. I usually have success by pumping the lever and then just cracking the bleeder nu...

Re: Diesel trucks
Just got off the phone with Woodridge Ford. $8 to $10 000 and 2 weeks for warranty repairs for my 06 with 80 000K. Injectors, Turbo, EGR, Etc, Etc....... Wow! I guess if I upgrade from the B2200 to an F250, I'll go with the gas pot, not the diesel. In my opinion, dealer service departments ha...

Valve Replacement on CRF250
The right intake need to be shimmed after every 4 rides, spending way too much on shims, let alone worrying about dropping a valve  Replaced the stock intake valves on my 2005 CRF this morning with a set of kibblewhites black diamonds. Not cheap, but seem to be really good quality. The s...
Re: E-start
I had the sanme issue on a differnt brand of bike. The battery was only a year old and I assumed it must be the 5 year old, well used starter. Removed the starter (which required the removal of the cylinder on a 4 stroke  ) every thing was in good shape. New battery and all good. I guess...

Re: where to ride in burnt timber
Burnt Timber seems to be Quad land. I don't think there is any single track out there. You may want to consider fallen timber, there is still some single track that is not closed. I know there are maps of the area but not sure where to get them. Mclean Creek is another option and free trail maps can...

Re: Would anybody want...?
I think there is a printed map with the single track trail names being made available to club members may be in the works. I think a printed map is a much better way to learn the trails. I know in Burnt timber the club is placing numbered signs provided by SRD at trail intersections. I expect the nu...

Re: Cougar on the trail at Mclean today
Cougars have be spotted by some of our neighbors, I live just 30km NW of the city. We have a donkey, they are crazy animals that keep all kinds of predators away, including coyotes. Maybe you want take her on your next ride for protection  We have also heard stories of a rattlesnake in the area...

Re: Diesel trucks
I have a 02 powerstroke with 220000 all stock and never had any engine issues other than a alternator that failed at 5000k. Pull a gooseneck trailer with about 5000lbs and seem to get around 16mpg. The engine seems to be running a little rough now, I think it needs some injectors.

Re: 2010 RMDRA Race
i just got my chainsaw back with a 16 bar instead of the 20. Should be a better fit. i can do Thursday. If you have a "low kickback" type chain, you may want to ditch that as well. I have switched to a standard chain/cutters (non-recreational-dummy-user-friendly-type) and it cuts sooooooo much fast...

Re: DOT helmet safer than Snell rated helmets...
For sure "do it up". I have been attending quite a few horse jumping competitions lately. All the kids wear a lid and most cost more than Airoh helmet. I was standing next to the parent of this one kid wearing a lid with the chin strap so loose it was hanging a good 4 inches below her chin. I told t...
