Darryl, The CMRC HS and XC rule book mentions that 100db is the maximum for HS and XC competition. However it is not enforced and many bikes are much louder than that. I just replaced my perfectly good FMF PC 4 pipe with an FMF Q pipe because I've been educated since last year. I wish that I hadn't ...

Re: noise

What you read is what is there . totally vague, and hard to enforce. We have suggested to Gov to adopt the U.S forest standard. That sludge you posted from the regs is all they have to go by for spark-arrestor rules. If they were to amend the law, and do sound tests, that would be much better than ...

BRPCam, I can understand your position coming from where you live, however Alberta, Canada and North America are bigger than your playground. Did you hear about the land closure and lawsuit in Quebec? A bunch of land owners sued the government because they allowed OHV traffic on public land that was...

Just as you are still required to have liscence and insurance on your bike, since you are on public land, w...

I was just writing a letter and noticed that many of the government links didn't work when trying to find out who your MLA is. The way I found mine was to look at the electoral maps to determine what riding I live in. Link: http://www.electionsalberta.ab.ca/welcome.html Next look up the MLA by ridin...

Re: smallest 12 V battery

I'm wondering where I can get my hands on the smallest 12V battery possible as I am making a lighting system for my wife's KX100 that should be pretty sweet if I can find the right size power sorce. vbeisel, I went to Battery World (3 or 4 locations). I have been to just off Barlow and just off McL...

I received my reply back today from the Minister of SRD in regards to my letter I sent him. It seems like a form letter. I can scan it and send it to be posted if you want it to be. That would be great. It might help others that may feel that the government doesn't listen or reply. Did you want it ...
