Thanks Joe. I think I have it figured out now.

Re: Video Shorties

I had never been to the Wildrose MX park, so I decided to check it out yesterday. After bumming around on the "hill track" for awhile, I grew tired of being roosted and went to check out the endurocross course. It's fun! This probably isn't the best example of my riding prowess, but the v...

Re: Bolt jammed in gas tank insert

Is that a 06-09 yz450F? It seems like that's going to be a challenge to drill the head of the bolt off without damaging the shroud around it. You might be better to just pull the insert out and re-glue it later like Joe suggested. Since it's already spinning you're going to have to glue it afterward...

Re: Bolt jammed in gas tank insert

Couple ideas for you: You could try and stake the aluminium insert into the tank by using a punch or screwdriver to deform the edge slightly. Whether you can get this to work will probably depend on whether you have the room Is it putting up any resistance when you turn the bolt? You might want to t...

Re: The More Dirtier Moose

The course does still need a bunch of deflagging. Here is your excuse to get out there and ride it one more time in slow-mo and recount all the adventures. If you do go out on it, please do your part and tear down some ribbons. I wouldn't mind riding the course again. Maybe on Wednesday. A...

Re: Sound Testing

'08 YZ450F Stock setup, tested three times: 116db, 108db,109db. I don't know why the first one was so loud, maybe a fluke?

Re: Took a 7-year break from racing... bought a bike last we

Thanks for the warm welcome! I noticed the tight chain too. :D The previous owner seems to have enjoyed keeping everything "tighter" than strictly necessary... Found a couple bolts with the heads sheared off  I'm planning on going through it from top to bottom before I head out racing. I have...

Re: Anywhere close to Calgary where I won't need studs?

Ended up going to Waiparous. I was planning to go to the Irricana gravel pit, but my buddy was dead set on some real off-roading. Worked out great. :D Not that it's relevant after last night's dump... but there were plenty of clear patches. Most of the wide open areas were free of snow and parts of ...

Re: Anywhere close to Calgary where I won't need studs?

That's too bad. I've never ridden at Waiparous and I was hoping to check it out. I would just go the MX track, but my friend will be on a racing quad and it isn't permitted. I was reading that thread about the irricana gravel pit, but it sounds like many people are suggesting it's closed now.

Took a 7-year break from racing... bought a bike last week!

I haven't even taking it out riding yet, but I've already been modding it up to get ready for racing this year! Here's what it looked like when I brought it home: http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w37/m3conversion/photo-2.jpg I quit racing about 7 years ago when my bike was stolen off my trailer on...

Anywhere close to Calgary where I won't need studs?

A friend and I are thinking of heading out on Wednesday to do a little biking. Is there anywhere where the snow isn't so deep right now?

So far the forecast says it'll be 14 degrees in Calgary. It's starting to feel like spring!
